“Whispering Smith’s Creek Gums” is inspired by the beautiful forms, textures and lines in the bark of the Australian Gum Tree. Celeste’s home and studio are situated on the outskirts of Sydney, surrounded by the gorgeous Smith’s Creek Reserve, every day she is graced by the beauty of the enchanting textures, tones and patterns of these gum trees. They provide for her a moment of solidarity and calm in her usually buzzing household, they remind us to peel away the layers of our often-superficial lives, they bring mindfulness and calm, they ground her.
